Latino Fathers as Catalistas (Agents of Change): Strategies to Support Latino Fathers in Childhood Obesity Prevention

چکیده

Latino children are disproportionately affected by childhood obesity. Prior research has encouraged father engagement to bolster prevention efforts and outlined general strategies for recruitment, engagement, retention. However, behavioral nutrition or education programs with a focus on fathers lacking, which means there is little guidance working in motivation maintenance. This perspective highlights supporting dietary activity behaviors fathers. Researchers can apply observational studies program development implementation, practitioners use tailor counseling as part of obesity prevention.
